Within nearly a month after reports surfaced confirming that Britain’s top-tier emcee and songwriter Fredo, born Marvin William Bailey, is serving a five-year prison sentence in Dubai for “drug possession”, the rapper has returned home.
The “Dave Flow” emcee, who was reportedly arrested in Dubai last year as part of its strict zero-tolerance policy for the possession of drugs, assured his ardent fans and Britain that “it was an accident” and “mistakes happen” via Instagram.
As per Fredo, he panicked just ahead of his confrontation with the British airport authorities and swallowed the cannabis he possessed at the time. The rapper further confirmed that while he was “let through” by England, he was caught in Dubai.
“I didn’t realise I had it,” the rapper said & posted a photograph from UAE.

The British rapper now gears up for his debut single with legendary Punjabi emcee Sidhu Moose Wala and “The Playlist” producer Steel Banglez. Titled “Attached”, the single was first announced by the British-Punjabi producer last summer and will mark Moosa’s 6th posthumous rap record.
Earlier this week, Grammy-winning Afrorap & Dancehall artist Burna Boy remembered Moose Wala amidst his historic live set in Toronto.
The 2024 BRITs nominee further performed his massive tribute tracks for Sidhu “Mera Na” & “Big 7” at his sold-out Scotiabank Arena concert.
