New Jersey’s hard-hitting woman rapper and record producer Coi Leray, born Coi Leray Collins, has announced her sophomore album. Titled “Coi”, the 15-track effort is slated to feature guest verses from Saucy Santana, Giggs, Lola Brooke, Jamaica’s Skillibeng and interestingly, a guest production from EDM superproducer David Guetta.
The LP, releasing on June 23, will serve as the follow-up to Leray’s debut album “Trendsetter”. The album through which Leray rose to global recognition included her hit rap record “Blick Blick” feat. Nicki Minaj, “No More Parties” feat. Lil Durk and her breakthrough single “Players” which sampled Grandmaster Flash and The Furious Five’s 1982 single “The Message”.
Besides announcing her sophomore album, Leray further teased “one of her favourite songs from the project”— “Make My Day”. Reportedly, the record samples the 1989 classic “Pump up the Jam” by Technotronic.
