Indian rap royalty and fierce emcee Kr$na, born Krishna Kaul, has just announced his first single this year. Titled “Joota Japani”, the single arrives amidst extremely high anticipation for new music by the “Hola Amigo” rapper and was presumably recorded during his recent visit to Tokyo, Japan.
At the time of the announcement, numerous Indian rappers and record producers stormed Kr$na’s Instagram profile. Besides Karachi-bred superproducer Umair, Rawal and Karan Kanchan, Haryanvi rapstar Dhanda Nyoliwala gave Dolla $ign his co-sign too.
“I’m so bored. Let’s gooo,” Nyoliwala wrote in an Instagram post shared by Kr$na yesterday. While the “FAR FROM OVER” emcee is yet to work with the Melbourne-bred rapper, they recently linked up in the massive “Chora Baba Ka” music video. The track further featured a guest verse by Kalamkaar’s bossman Raftaar.
As per Kr$na, “Joota Japani” single releases on January 17th, 2023.

For Kr$na, the single arrives after massive back-to-back performances by the rapper in the past few months.
While Kr$na shut down the “Great Indian Sneaker Festival” alongside Divine and Seedhe Maut in December, he sat down for an exclusive chat with Prabh Deep and performed with the “Khatta Flow” rappers at last year’s Boiler Room in Mumbai and Delhi.
