Breakthrough Malayali emcee & songwriter Baby Jean, born Habish Rehman, has finally premiered his Mass Appeal India debut. Titled “Padachatta”, the flagrant rap single marks Jean’s first major label single since announcing his groundbreaking partnership with Nas’ Mumbai-based record label last summer.
Notably, “Padachatta” serves as the follow-up to Jean’s two trailblazing Malayali rap records – breakout single “Kaayi” and his massive collaboration “Ballaatha Jaathi” with Mass Appeal affiliate Dabzee and Neeraj Madhav.
For Mass Appeal India, “Padachatta” arrives amidst back-to-back southern rap heaters “Manka” by Dabzee and “Kadha” by Vedan.
Ahead of releasing “Padachatta”, Jean & Mass Appeal India shared the track’s exclusive preview via Instagram. Check the flagrant preview and artwork out below.

Jean is yet to premiere an exclusive visual treatment for “Padachatta”.
Earlier this month, Dabzee spoke to Culture Haze about his relationship with close affiliates and now Mass Appeal labelmates Baby Jean and Vedan amidst an exclusive interview.
“We are very blessed to be together and we cherish that time. We’re aware that we have a big responsibility on our shoulders but we can’t be perfect every single day, you know. Also, we’re so distinct from each other. Vedan’s way of creating music is completely different from that of Baby Jean’s. Jean’s way of doing so is different from mine. So, while there is that responsibility, we fulfil it in our own ways. We all respect what is going on inside,” the “Manavaalan Thug” rapper said.

In other news, Mumbai’s breakthrough emcee Nazz has released his debut EP “Bathroom Singer” with Mass Appeal India. The flagrant project traverses 4 tracks – “Kaale Karnaame”, “Dharmendra”, “Gumnaam” and “Haqeekat”.
