Punjabi emcee AP Dhillon and Shinda Kahlon have returned to top-tier rap music. Amidst high anticipation for classic rap records reminiscent of “Drop Top”, “Not By Chance” and “Arrogant”, the influential rappers and songwriters have now joined forces on the flagrant “Real Talk” single.

Co-produced by Dhillon and written by Kahlon, “Real Talk” arrives within hours after the “True Stories” rappers first announced it via Instagram.

Mired by incendiary trap and lethal bars, the single is distributed via Mass Appeal India and released alongside a massive visual cut.

Directed by Montreal, Canada-bred filmmaker Dan LeMoyne, who recently filmed The Weeknd‘s “Memento Mori” short film for Apple Music, the hard-hitting visuals capture Dhillon & Kahlon’s unparalleled rap life and their firm stature in Punjabi rap music.

This isn’t the first time that Dhillon has joined forces with a major filmmaker for top-tier visual treatments. Last summer, AP linked up with Spike Jordan for the “Sleepless” music video.

As reported at the time, Spike Jordan has filmed some of the most influential rap music videos of our times including “rodeo dr” by Gunna from the “A Gift & A Curse” LP, “Lord Knows” by Meek Mill, “Wave Gods” by NasA$ap Rocky & DJ Premier, “Drip Too Hard” by Gunna & Lil Baby and more.

While the single does not feature Gurinder Gill, it does receive his co-sign.

The “Real Talk” single now paves the way for Dhillon’s historic debut at Coachella this summer.

Reportedly, Dhillon is set to join forces with marquee global rap & pop artists including breakthrough rapper Ice Spice, legendary British rapper SkeptaKen Carson and Destroy Lonely of the Playboi Carti camp, Lil Uzi VertCoi Leray and this year’s headliners Lana Del Ray, Tyler, The Creator and Doja Cat.

Earlier this month, the iconic Punjabi singer shut down Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai alongside Shina Kahlon.
