Punjabi gangsta rap pioneer, record producer and songwriter Wazir Patar has just released his first single this year. Titled “Executioner”, the flagrant Punjabi rap record is produced by Patar himself and arrives amidst an unprecedented rise in his prominence across the burgeoning Indian rap scene.
Written by rising Punjabi emcee Kahlon, the single is released alongside an evocative visual cut which captures Patar serving justice to notorious criminals in Punjab.
Notably, this is Patar’s first single since releasing his sprawling sophomore album “Street Knowledge”, another incendiary gangsta rap EP “Back To Skool” and a slew of collaborations including “Semi-Auto” with Punjabi pop superstar Jordan Sandhu.
Most recently, Patar linked up with Jassa Dhillon on his third Punjabi pop and rap LP “Bombaa”.
While Patar began teasing new music last week, the “Malwa Block” producer shocked fans with his latest single earlier today.

Patar’s single arrives within days after another marquee Punjabi rapper Sikander Khalon premiered “2024 Flow”. The Mohali-based emcee released the 10th flow from his influential “The Flow” series and captures the “Racks & Rounds” rapper remembering “his brother” Sidhu Moose Wala.
Further, another rising Punjabi gangsta rapper Shubh disrupted Indian Punjabi music with his debut EP “Leo” last week. Traversing 4 massive rap records including “King Shit”, “You & Me”, “Hood Anthem” and “Safety Off”, the EP continues to raze through streaming platforms since its release.
