Indian Hip-Hop’s fierce consortium of rap artists ‘The MVMNT’ and MTV Hustle’s top-selling contender Panther is gearing up for a new single. Titled ‘Lifestyle’, influential Hip-Hop producer and The MVMNT bossman Sez on The Beat, Delhi’s underground emcee Ab 17 and Panther have linked up on the track. Slated to drop on March 2nd 2023, the single will be released through Mass Appeal India.
Interestingly, the release date coincides with Prabhdeep’s star-studded Bhram Deluxe LP. The long-awaited record includes guest verses from Kalmkaar’s bossman Raftaar, Ikka, Seedhe Maut’s Calm & Encore ABJ, GD 47 & Kashmir’s ferocious emcee Ahmer.
Earlier this evening, Ab 17 took to Instagram to announce his debut collaborative effort with Panther. Besides revealing the release date, the young emcee dropped an exclusive preview of the track as well. You can check it out below.
As for The MVMNT, the just announced rap record serves as the follow-up to Ab 17’s debut LP ‘Tez Filam’. Executive produced by Sez, the eight-track album features guest appearances from underground emcees Asmadhe, OG Lucifer and Lil Bhavi.
Even at the time, our publication noted that it was a rarity for a young emcee to have his first record with a record label of Mass Appeal’s stature. However, through ferocious bars next to Sez’s ruthless record production, the Indian rap’s most promising freshman proved his worth.
With the announcement, Panther is gearing up, for what could be, one of the most critical times in his career. Last year, the young North Indian emcee was at the epicentre of pop culture and television appearances through MTV Hustle. However, Panther looks set to take his music “back to the streets”.
