Indian Hip-Hop superstar Dino James is gearing up for a massive return. After announcing the record last week, James has now revealed crucial details about his forthcoming release. Titled ‘Boyfriend Part. 1’, the emcee has confirmed that the single is slated to drop on April 7th 2023.
Notably, James has released a second preview of his single. Last week, the former MTV Hustle’s mentor seemingly previewed the record on his social media and left fans ‘guessing’ about the new track. However, the influential rapper has now dropped an exclusive teaser in the lead-up to his upcoming single. Check it out here.
As per many, James’ latest single could be a follow-up to his breakthrough record ‘Girlfriend’. First released on October 19th 2016, the passive-aggressive single about hopeless romanticism and infidelity reached massive heights and turned James into a cult for India’s youth overnight.
In February, James teased a collaborative effort with former MTV Hustle’s top contender GD 47 too. However, that effort seems to be still in the works. Last year, James partnered with Def Jam Recordings India for a hard-hitting debut LP ‘D’ and the wildly successful collaborative effort ‘Woh’ with Ikka and Indian rap mogul Badshah.
The surprise announcement has set massive waves across social media. To Dino’s fans, he’s a modern Hip-Hop pioneer and has established his stature as a definitive cult in the Indian rap scene. Last year, James mentored the next generation of Indian emcees on ‘MTV Hustle 2.0’ alongside King, Badshah, EPR and Dee MC.
