Amidst his feud with Compton’s Pulitzer prize-winning emcee & songwriter Kendrick Lamar, OVO’s rap mogul Drake‘s Toronto home was shot at yesterday night.

While Drake hasn’t sustained grievous hurt, his security guard has received “serious injury” owing to a gunshot wound.

Born & raised in Compton, California – recognized for fierce rap feuds and gang rivalries – Lamar is yet to respond on the concerning incident and the Toronto police department is yet to ascertain whether the early morning shooting (Toronto EDT) is related to his ongoing beef with Drake or is in fact, an isolated incident.

“We are in contact with [Drake’s] team and they are cooperating,” Inspector Paul Krawczyk of the Integrated Gun and Gang Task Force told the reporters present at Drake’s Toronto residence.

Drake & Kendrick Lamar’s infamous and now deeply personal feud, which started with the “Like That” diss record by K-Dot, spiralled out of proportion after the two rappers went back-to-back over the weekend.

The “F—- Problems” collaborators, often considered as two of the most influential rappers in the game right now, released five flagrant deep cuts against each other within 72 hours starting last Friday.

As reported earlier, Lamar released the fierce diss “6:16 In L.A.” in the late hours of last Friday. Drake responded with a fierce diss record “Family Matters” within hours. However, his notorious spats on Lamar were met by two back-to-back singles – “meet the grahams” and “Not Like Us”.

On a tense Monday morning, Drake further hits back with “The Heart Pt. 6”.
