In the past few hours, numerous reports surfaced that asserted that Sidhu Moose Wala‘s killer and notorious gangster Goldy Brar was killed in a shooting incident in California, United States.

However, United States Law Enforcement‘s California Police Department has refuted such claims and has confirmed the reports to be misleading.

Brar, who is considered the prime accused in Moose Wala’s lethal killing alongside infamous gangsters Lawrence Bishnoi and Kala Jathedi, further stands wanted for “terrorism” by the Indian government’s Ministry of Home Affairs.

Reportedly, two men were shot in Fairmont and Holt Avenue in Fresno, California yesterday after a gruesome altercation. One of them succumbed to inflicted gun wounds and was mistaken to be Brar.

While the origins of the extremely viral fake news are yet to be traced, Lieutenant William J. Dooley with the Fresno, California Police Department has asserted that such reports are “not true”.

“If you are inquiring because of the online chatter claiming that the shooting victim is Goldy Brar, we can confirm that this is absolutely not true,” Dooley said in a statement to Indo-Asian News Service, or IANS.

As per local news reports, the person killed in the incident is identified as 37-year-old Xavier Galdney.

“We have received inquiries from around the world this morning as a result of misinformation being spread on social media and online news agencies. We are not sure who started this rumour, but it caught on and spread like wildfire. But again, it isn’t true. The victim is definitely not Goldy,” the US police department further said.

Upon the announcement, various Indian & international media outlets retracted their statements.

Moose Wala’s family and his ardent fans are yet to receive justice.
