Indian Hip-Hop superstar and music business mogul Emiway Bantai has returned with a hard-hitting rap record. Influenced by classic auto-tune and fierce snares, the ‘Drill’ emcee has just released ‘Scene Change’.
Released alongside an avant-garde visual treatment which showcases Bantai next to vintage Corvettes in Dubai, Bantai finds himself honouring his influence on the Indian rap scene and how he has changed it for the better. Considering the young rapper’s impact on the genre, this doesn’t come off as controversial or self-assuring.
Notably, the latest rap record serves as the follow-up to ‘Company’. A commercial banger with just the right amounts of street knowledge and praise for his neighbourhood in Mumbai.
Bantai announced the long-awaited record just ahead of its original release on social media. Check it out below.
The track arrives amidst high anticipation for Bantai’s upcoming LP. Last year, the Bantai Records’ bossman confirmed an upcoming collaborative effort with the legendary ‘Bad Meets Evil’ emcee Royce Da 5’9″ and Hip-hop’s legendary veteran Tech N9ne. Upon its release, the yet untitled album will serve as the follow-up to his self-produced ‘8 Saal’ album.
