Watch: French Montana’s Documentary ‘For Khadija’ Trailer Revealed, Executive Produced by Drake and Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs

Global Hip-Hop superstar and Coke Boy Records CEO French Montana has finally unveiled an epic trailer for his highly anticipated biographical documentary. Titled “For Khadijah”, the documentary “gives a deeper look into his roots and globe-spanning upbringing, led by the sacrifices of his single mother.”

Montana first announced the documentary during a sit-down with Mike Tyson and Angie Martinez on the Hot Boxin’ podcast. Notably, the documentary is executive produced by Drake and Hip-Hop billionaire Sean ‘Diddy Combs’.

Ahead of its worldwide release, ‘For Khadijah’ will premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival on June 16th 2023. Held in New York City, the premiere will feature performances by Africa’s musical group Triplets Ghetto Kids and Montana himself.

Further, the film is directed by Mandon Lovett. Besides working on Montana’s documentary, the NY-based filmmaker is behind “Origins of Hip Hop” (A&E), produced Showtime’s “Boys In Blue” alongside Peter Perg and directed “Rap Caviar Presents” for Hulu. For the six-part Spotify series, Lovett’s episode “focused on Chicago’s own Polo G, mental health, and breaking cycles of generational trauma.”

As per Montana, the documentary is dedicated to his single mother. “It’s called For Khadija, that’s for my mother,” Montana said during his conversation at Hot Boxin’. “You know she came out here and sacrificed for us. My father had left and she stayed, and she helped me become who I became, so I dedicated it to her. Drake is executive producing it,” Montana said at the time.
