Legendary emcee Kr$na, born Krishna Kaul, has disrupted Indian rap music with his first project this year. Titled “For The Day One$”, the brief 4-track project arrives amidst the rapper’s notorious signalling at an “unhurt” retirement and features guest verses by former Kalamkaar labelmate Karma, Pakistani rapper Faris Shafi and Lisa Mishra.
Produced by a slew of notable record producers including “Prarthana” producer Bharg and Subspace, Kr$na’s latest EP traverses a British grime heater “Shut Up”, “What’s Up”, “Stay Away” and “Role Model”.
Besides “For The Day One$”, Kr$na released his top-tier single “Joota Japani” in January. Produced by Umair, the flagrant drill record led to the iconic rapper’s debut performance in Tokyo in March.

Notably, Kr$na’s EP arrives amidst a scathing beef between his “Hola Amigo” collaborators Seedhe Maut and Kashmir’s breakout act Straight Outta Srinagar.
Earlier this year, Seedhe Maut brought out Kr$na to close out their massive “Lunch Break India Tour” in Delhi. Watch Kr$na’s lethal performance below via X, formerly Twitter.
