Indian Hip-Hop royalty and Kalamkaar’s fierce emcee Kr$na, born Krishna Kaul, has just released his sophomore EP this year. Titled “Far From Over”, the hard-hitting 5-track EP features provocative guest appearances from Seedhe Maut, Canadian emcee AR Paisley, Delhi’s hard-hitting record producer Bharg and Karachi-bred young producer Umair.
Further, the flagrant EP, which recruits Calm & Encore ABJ on “Hola Amigo” and AR Paisley on “Some of Us” and features solo verses from Dolla Sign on “Still Standing”, “Prarthana” and “Wanna Know”, features assistance in record production from Deep Kalsi too.
Kr$na had originally announced the release of just the “Prarthana” single at midnight. Amidst Indian Hip-Hop fans pushing for a multi-track effort by Kr$na, a 5-track star-studded EP was out of the question. Notably, Kr$na has been dropping a bunch of guest verses and further plans to do so this week.
Preceded by the “Time Will Tell” EP released in February this year, the “FAR FROM OVER” EP arrives as a surprise drop too. The unprecedented projects, which now mark 8 solo rap records this year, have certainly left Kr$na’s fans in awe.
A few minutes ago, the legendary emcee premiered the “Prarthana” music video too. Directed by Canfuse, the hard-hitting visuals capture Kr$na’s unruly rap life and further his stature as one of the greatest to ever do it & that too at will.
The music video arrives within 48 hours after Kr$na’s fiery guest appearance in Seedhe Maut‘s “Khatta Flow” music video. As reported earlier, it was the fifth visual treatment from the Azadi Records affiliates’ “Lunch Break” mixtape.

While AR Paisley’s appearance on Kr$na’s “FAR FROM OVER” may come off as a surprise to many, it isn’t so. The “I Guess” rapper has been working with various Hip-Hop artists overseas for a while now.
Besides working with Karachi’s ruthless Hip-Hop act Young Stunners on the “Time Will Tell” EP, Kr$na reportedly had a Punjabi rap record with Tegi Pannu in the works too. However, the record, allegedly titled “Chamkila”, infamously leaked on streaming platforms ahead of its release.
Amidst the surprise drop, which runs parallel to the sudden release of Raftaar’s collaborative project “PRAA” alongside Seedhe Maut’s former Azari Records labelmate Prabhdeep, Kr$na is now gearing up for his guest verse on Deep Kalsi’s debut Hip-Hop album “Tunnel Vision”.
