Indian Hip-Hop/Rap superstar Kr$na, born Krishna Kaul, has finally announced his highly anticipated return to rap music.

Earlier today, the hard-hitting emcee, who hasn’t dropped a solo single since March this year, announced that his next rap single “Prarthana” releases on August 29.

Reportedly, this single is produced by Delhi’s young record producer and singer Bharg Kale.

The Kaamkaar affiliate, who recently dropped his incendiary guest verse on Seedhe Maut‘s sprawling Hip-Hop mixtape “Lunch Break”, further shared the record’s exclusive artwork with his fans on social media.

Notably, “Prarthana” will be Kalamkaar rap royalty’s first single since the “Time Will Tell” EP.

Released on 5 March 2023, the EP is a brief yet affecting collection of three rap records – “Kaha Tak”, “NGL” and “Been a While”. Notably, the EP features guest verses by Karachi’s ferocious rap artists Talha Anjum and Talhah Yunus – collectively referred to as Young Stunners.

Besides Kr$na’s guest verse on Seedhe Maut’s “Khatta Flow”, the legendary emcee was further slated to work with rising Punjabi Hip-Hop artist Tegi Pannu. Reportedly, Kr$na and Pannu had an unreleased rap record “Chamkila” in the works until it was reportedly leaked in June this year.

Further, Kr$na is slated to appear on his Kalamkaar labelmate Deep Kalsi’s debut Hip-Hop LP “Tunnel Vision”.

Kalsi, who has spearheaded record production on various cult Kalamkaar rap records with Raftaar, former affiliate Karma and Kr$na himself, revealed that his star-studded debut album will feature Kr$na & Raftaar and further brings together fierce Indian rappers Bella, Raga, the “Racks & Rounds” emcee Sikander Kahlon, woman emcee Agsy, MC Insane, Flyboy & more.

Look out for Kr$na’s massive return to rap music on August 29.
