Indian rap moguls Sidhu Moose Wala and Badshah have entered Spotify’s “Top 10 Most Followed Hip-Hop Artists” globally.
Reportedly, the slain Punjabi emcee Moosa and “Jagga Jatt” rapper have debuted at the 5th and 10th spot respectively and joined a slew of cult rap figures including the #1 Drake, Kendrick Lamar, Nicki Minaj, Travis Scott and Eminem in the coveted list.
Further, the “Moosetape” rapper and Badshah have surpassed various rap royalties amidst the historic breakthrough too.
As per chartmasters.org, the Indian rap heavyweights have surpassed West Coast pioneer Tupac Shakur, Jay-Z, Kanye West, Lil Baby, Future, Playboi Carti, Lil Uzi Vert, 50 Cent and A$ap Rocky in the lead-up to their top-tier ranking.
Besides Sidhu and Badshah, Diljit Dosanjh and Karan Aujla stay firm on the 15th and 37th spot respectively. The Punjabi rap & pop superstars are gearing up for their massive India tours this year.
For Moose, the breakthrough amidst the slain Punjabi emcee releasing various posthumous records.
Most recently, the “Racks & Rounds” rapper joined forces with Nas’ coveted record label Mass Appeal, Steel Banglez & West London MVP Fredo on “Attach” single.
The flagrant record is preceded by seven massive posthumous efforts – “410” with Sunny Malton, “Drippy” with breakout emcee AR Paisley, “Watch Out” with Sikander Kahlon, “Chorni” with Divine, “Mera Na” with Burna Boy and “Vaar”.
Last year, Badshah remembered Moose Wala during his massive live set at the OVO Wembley Arena in London.
