As rap music continues to anticipate Ikka’s third rap album, the legendary emcee has confirmed a guest verse by young Indian rap superstar MC Stan. The veteran rapper, who has been in touch with Stan since the earliest days of his rap career, confirmed the massive guest verse via Meta.
While Ikka is yet to reveal any further details about the forthcoming rap record, except a notorious abbreviation “O.L.G.R.”, the rapper first announced the LP on 50 Years of Hip-Hop and has been dropping subtle hints about his rap record since August this year.
The sprawling announcement arrives just ahead of Ikka’s own guest verse on KSHMR’s debut Indian Hip-Hop album “Karam”. Reportedly, Ikka is set to feature on “Dream” and will join forces with a slew of India emcees on the LP.
Most recently, Ikka premiered “Cuz of You” single and dropped a flagrant guest verse on “In My Flow” EP by Jaz Dhami.
Besides his forthcoming collaborative effort with the “Nusta Paisa” rapper, Ikka is yet to confirm whether a probable collaborative effort with Jamaican Afrorap emcee Byron Messiah will feature on the LP.
In August, Ikka was seen “vibing to the beat” of Messiah’s breakthrough Afrorap record “Talibans”, which has further been remixed by legendary Dancehall emcee Burna Boy, and “shared just a snippet of sharp bars.”
Earlier this week, Ikka’s former Mafia Mundeer affiliate Yo Yo Honey Singh returned with new internet breaking single “Kalaastar”.
Look out for Ikka’s third album perhaps this year.
