The legendary Indian rapper, record producer and music director Yo Yo Honey Singh has just announced his new forthcoming single. Titled “Gaddi Shookdi”, the single is produced by Honey Singh and arrives amidst back-to-back internet-breaking announcements by the veteran rap superstar.
Notably, Honey Singh shared a rare clip which captures the notorious marquee rapper swerving at over 200 mph over 10 years ago. At the time, Yo Yo Honey Singh was at the helm of his sprawling rap career before embarking on a long hiatus in 2015.
The shocking announcement was preceded by Yo Yo Honey Singh confirming his debut collaborative effort with another Desi Hip-Hop veteran Bohemia. The forthcoming single is slated to feature on his forthcoming album “International Villager 2”.
However, the iconic emcee has now made an unprecedented return.
Earlier this week, the rap icon debuted at the top spot on Billboard India Charts with the huge rap single “Kalaastar”.
“Kalaastar” serves as the sequel to Honey Singh’s iconic track “Desi Kalakaar“ released in 2014 – around the same time as the rare clip that the Desi Hip-Hop veteran has now shared.
Within a day after its release, “Desi Kalakaar” itself resurfaced on Billboard India Charts and debuted at the 5th spot furthering Honey Singh’s cult status in Indian rap music.
Recently, Mumbai’s influential rapstar Emiway Bantai turned his guest verse in for “International Villager 2”. Whether “Gaddi Shookdi” will feature on the LP is yet to be confirmed by the West Delhi-born rapper.
