Breaking: Indian Rap Superstar Ikka Teases Byron Messia’s ‘Talibans’ Remix, Shares Exclusive ‘Snippet’ For Fans

Indian Hip-Hop/Rap superstar Ikka, born Ankit Singh Patyal, has just teased a probable collaborative effort with Jamaica Afrorap emcee Byron Messia. Earlier this evening, the ruthless emcee, who is reportedly working on a third rap album, was seen “vibing to the beat” of Messia’s breakthrough Afrorap record “Talibans” and “shared just a snippet of sharp bars.”

The rapper, who most recently remembered the late Hip-Hop pioneer Sidhu Moose Wala on “Gundagrdi”, has further confirmed that if fans “want to hear the entire verse”, they can “let him know” and witness the “volcano erupt” in a message alongside the snippet.

“Talibans” is Byron Messia’s breakthrough dancehall record which was remixed by the legendary Afrorap superstar Burna Boy. Titled “Talibans II”, the Ej Fya, Spaceship Belly and Kelly Beatz-produced track doubled down on the track’s worldwide hit and soon broke into multiple Billboard Charts across the globe this week.

While Ikka is yet to confirm the now-alleged collaborative effort, fans have stormed social media voicing their support for its official release. Check out the snippet of Ikka’s guest verse on Byron Messia’s “Talibans” below.

As Messia continues to raze through global charts and leaves a massive impact, Burna Boy is making unprecedented waves in African music across the world. The Nigerian emcee, who became the first African artist to shut down London Stadium earlier this year, released another provocative record “Big 7” last Friday.

Produced by Danitello, MD$, Mike Wavvs, Otis and Super Mile, Boy paid an affecting tribute to the late Indian Hip-Hop pioneer Sidhu Moose Wala and Louis Vuitton‘s first African-American Creative Director Virgil Abloh.

Ikka’s massive “Talibans” snippet arrives amidst another Indian artist gearing up for a slew of global collaborative efforts. Reportedly, Diljit Dosanjh is slated to feature Pop superstar Sia, The Bronx‘s A Boogie With Da Hoodie and rap superproducer London On Da Track and Columbia’s legendary pop artist Camilo on “Ghost” LP.

Look out for Ikka’s “Talibans” Remix with Byron Messia.
