Indian Rapstar Shah Rule Returns With New Album, Drops Zero Chill-Produced Lead Single On May 24

Indian Hip-Hop pioneer and Gully Gang’s leading emcee Shah Rule, born Rahul Shahani, has announced his return to the mic. The emcee, who recently linked up with Indian rap superstar Ikka and GG’s very own Sammohit on “Spaceship”, has confirmed that a new album is in the works and the rollout is slated to begin on May 24.

With the announcement, Rule is perhaps gearing up to reveal the LP artwork and release date this week. Given his far-reaching influence on Indian rap music with an affecting discography and provocative guest hooks, a star-studded tracklist can’t be ruled out.

Ahead of the album’s first lead single, Shah Rule has shared an exclusive preview on his IG. Check it out here if you haven’t yet.

Shah Rule’s debut album arrives amidst a slew of hard-hitting releases by various emcees this year. As per many, Rule’s LP can provide crucial momentum to an already massive year for Indian rap music.

Over the years, the ‘drip connoisseur’ has emerged as one of the finest Indian emcees associated with Mumbai’s Gully Gang. With the record label, Rule has dropped numerous hard-hitting rap records including “Wallah” alongside Divine, “Kaun Hai Tu” featuring Rajakumari, “Nahi Hai Woh” featuring MC Altaf and Kalamkaar’s bossman Raftaar and more.

The rapper is behind the top-selling rap record “Hooked” which featured guest verses by Divine, Sikander Kahlon, Meba Ofilia and Frenzzy.
