Earlier this year, Indian Hip-Hop’s young emcees and record producers teamed up on ‘Kaleshi Chori’. Released on January 15th 2023, the hard-hitting rap banger features DG Immortals, Raga, Harjas Harjaayi and VirtualAF. The three-minute single is reminiscent of the classic G-Unit rap records from 2003 and as per many, is one of the biggest Hip-Hop collaborative efforts this year already.
Owing to its immense popularity, Billboard India has recognised the trailblazing rap record. ‘Kaleshi Chori’ has completed three weeks on the highly coveted chart and remains strong at 20th. Notably, the track debuted at the 13th position on the Billboard chart.
‘Maan Meri Jaan’ from King’s top-selling album ‘Champagne Talk’ remains firm at the top spot for thirteen weeks now. MC Stan’s ‘Basti Ka Hasti’ is gradually moving up on the Billboard chart as well. The rap record, which has been on the Billboard India chart for five weeks, jumped over six places to peak at the 21st position.
Haryana-bred Hip-Hop act DG Immortals is recognised across Indian rap for their notorious rhyme schemes and passive-aggressive gangsta raps. While ‘Kaleshi Chori’ is their biggest record yet, the crew is behind some of the leading tracks in rap including ‘Bad Guy’, ‘NCR Ke’ and ’50 Tola’
