Gully Gang’s young Mumbai-bred emcee and record producer Sammohit is gearing up for his debut collaborative effort with Farhan Khan. Titled ‘Meherban’, the single is slated to drop on March 4th 2023 through Divine’s very own Gully Gang Entertainment and has Mr Doss leading the production.
Sammohit took to Instagram to reveal the release date and exclusive artwork. The set of photographs seemingly hints that a visual treatment might be in the works too. Check the ‘Meherban’ artwork here.
Ever since his association with Gully Gang, Sammohit has worked with some of the biggest rappers in India. Notably, the young emcee was featured on three records on the eight-record collaborative project ‘Mass Appeal & Gully Gang: SHUTDOWN’ – the most for any member of the crew.
However, Gully Gang isn’t the only crew that Sammohit has represented at scale. Part of ‘Aavrutti’ alongside Sledge, Saifan and Frenzzy, the rapper released his debut 11-track LP ‘Naya Zamana’ in 2020. Further, Sammohit has collaborated with Team Evo from Dehradun on their hit single ‘Dekh Bete Dekh’ too.
As for Farhan Khan, this is his debut with the iconic record label. While he hasn’t signed a full-blown contract with Gully Gang yet, Khan is an emerging hip-hop emcee from Mumbai who dons a classic discography.
Through brash lyricism and trend-setting underground visuals, Khan has delivered numerous affecting records including ‘Platinum’, ‘Godfather’ alongside Gravity & Shaikhspeare, ‘Khamoshi’, ‘Khansaab’, ‘Galat Launde’ and ‘Raza’ featuring Munawar Faruqui.
