Southern rap stars Irfana and MC Couper have joined forces with the “Southside” producer Kalla Shah for a flagrant single. Titled “Energy”, the lethal English-Malayalam rap record arrives via Def Jam Recordings India and marks Irfana’s sophomore record this year.
Earlier this year, Irfana linked up with the coveted Mumbai-based label on the “London Dry” single. For Couper, the single arrives just ahead of his much anticipated Mass Appeal debut.

Ahead of “Energy”, Def Jam Recordings India joined forces with Killa K and Singapore’s rap pioneer Yung Raja on the “Podu Mike” single. The single was preceded by the label’s trailblazing record “Big Dawgs”.
Performed by Hanumankind with production by Kalmi, the single broke into the Billboard Top 200 Global charts at the 9th spot and razed through the Billboard Hot 100 charts by moving up 26 places last month.
