Watch: Lil Yachty Premiers ‘Solo Steppin Crete Boy’ Music Video From ‘Slide’ EP

Atlanta’s iconic rapper, record producer and songwriter Lil Yachty, born Miles Parks McCollum, has just shared his latest music video “Solo Steppin Crete Boy”. The evocative visuals, which capture the Boat covered in the American flag, arrive within days after Yachty dropped his surprise EP “Slide”.

Yachty’s EP is home to three unbothered rap records – “Solo Steppin Crete Boy”, “Slide” and the previously released “Strike (Holster)”. It’s unclear whether the records were originally slated to appear on Yachty’s now-shelved album “Sonic Ranch”.

Across this year, Yachty has been leading the disruption in rap music. The mumble rapper, who rose to prominence for his immersive substance-inflicted rap records, dropped his fifth LP “Let’s Start Here” in January this year.

The fourteen-track record draws heavy influences from psychedelic rock and punk before crashing head straight into classic alternative rap.

Yachty’s album arrived amidst an unprecedented leak of unreleased rap music. Ahead of dropping “Let’s Start Here” LP, the “SaintLaurentYSL” rapper was allegedly gearing up for the “Sonic Ranch” album. However, a major part of that rap record was leaked online last year on Christmas.

Most recently, Lil Yachty joined Bobbi Althoff for a hilarious conversation on “the really good podcast”. Watch it below if you haven’t yet.
