Harlem’s legendary emcee and A$ap Mob bossman A$ap Rocky, real name Rakim Athelaston Mayers, has just released his latest single. Titled “Riot (Rowdy Pipe’N), the hard-hitting rap record is produced by Hip-Hop superproducer and Louis Vuitton’s Menswear Director Pharrell Williams.
Notably “Riot (Rowdy Pipe’N)” arrives amidst soaring anticipation for Rocky’s forthcoming fourth album “Don’t Be Dumb”. The “Testing” LP follow-up, which was first announced by Rocky in December last year, might drop this year. However, besides releasing the LP’s lead single “Same Problems?”, ‘Lord Pretty Flacko’ has been tight-lipped about the rap album.
Most recently, Flacko and Williams linked up at the latter’s historic Louis Vuitton Menswear runway show in Paris.
For his major high-fashion debut, Williams invited Tokyo’s “A Bathing Ape” founder Tomoaki Nagao or “Nigo”. Besides his longtime collaborator in music and fashion, Williams’ runway show was attended by “the Carter” Jay-Z, Tyler, The Creator, Rihanna, Zendaya, Lebron James, Mia Khalifa, Lewis Hamilton, Kim Kardashian and Rocky himself.
With two singles in, considering Rocky’s star-studded record with Williams may make its way on the album, the Harlem rap pioneer is perhaps gearing up for his massive return. A$ap Rocky’s last album “Testing” was released over 5 years ago.
