Indian Hip-Hop royalty and Gully Gang’s bossman Divine, born Vivian Wilson Fernandes, has previewed the first rap record this year. Amidst high anticipation for new music, the hard-hitting emcee, songwriter and music business mogul, took to social to share an exclusive snippet.

In May this year, Divine announced new music which left everyone shocked. However, that announcement was followed by the legendary emcee’s historic live set in Ahmedabad. The Gully Gang affiliate opened his extraordinary live set by remembering the late Punjabi rap pioneer Sidhu Moose Wala in a massive stadium with over 100,000 people.
However, this preview confirms that Divine’s new single might drop any minute. Most recently, Divine linked up with Punjabi Pop singer Ammy Virk on “Busy Getting Paid”.
Divine’s last body of work, the “Gunehgar” LP released in November last year, has risen to become one of the most prominent and influential Indian rap albums globally. Earlier this month, Divine premiered an immersive live rendition of “Sitara” featuring Jonita Gandhi.
Whether the latest preview will arrive with JD-directed avant-garde visual treatment remains to be seen.
Since releasing his third LP, Divine has released at least 8 full-length visuals or previews from ‘Gunehgar’.
Over the past months, the Gully Gang frontman has released the visual treatments for “Traffic Jam“, “Baazigar” feat. Armani White, “Bornfire” feat. Russ, Hit-Boy-produced “Gunehgar“, Phenom-produced “Akela“ and previews of iLL Wayno-produced “Traffic Jam” featuring Jadakiss and Hit-Boy-produced “Flex Kar”.
Look out for Divine’s highly anticipated rap record this summer.
