As anticipation for Divine’s forthcoming 4th studio album continues to reach an all-time high, the Indian rap mogul and emcee has just premiered his new huge single. Titled “4:10”, the single allegedly serves as the sequel to his iconic rap record “3:59 A.M.” and arrives after it was first previewed by the legendary rapper in June this year.
Notably, “4:10” samples Indian folk singer Lal Chand Yamla Jatt’s evocative melody “Tere Ni Karara Mainu Puteya, Das Main Ki Pyar Wichon Kuhteya” or “Your promises cost me dearly, tell me what did I gain from love.”
At the time, the iconic Gully Gang affiliate who was gearing up for his debut global tour, announced the single and shared an exclusive snippet with his fans within hours after he shut down Ahmedabad stadium amidst a historic rap concert and remembered “his brother” Sidhu Moose Wala.
While Divine gears up for his headlining set at “The Great Indian Sneaker Festival” in Delhi-NCR this Sunday, the single has stirred unprecedented conversations about the flagrant emcee across social media.
“4:10” arrives alongside an exclusive visual treatment. Watch it below.
With the release of the sprawling single, Divine is perhaps gearing up for even bigger rap records next year. Notably, the Mumbai-based rapper has “more than six songs” with Punjabi rap superstar Karan Aujla and set to appear on his upcoming rap LP.
Recently, “The G.O.A.T.” songwriter sat down with Popshift in Vancouver, Canada and expressed his interest in working with J. Cole besides recognizing Ikka, Divine & Kr$na as the finest lyricists in Indian rap music right now.
