Def Jam Recordings India‘s first woman signee and Kodaikanal, Tamil Nadu’s fierce rapper Irfana has announced her sophomore single with the major label. Titled “London Dry”, the single is produced by rising Indian record producer Zero Chill and arrives amidst a slew of heavy releases by the coveted record label.
Upon its release, with its teaser slated to drop tomorrow, “London Dry” will serve as the follow-up to Irfana’s debut single with the label “Sheila Silk”.
While the single arrives after a considerable wait of over 7 months, the Mumbai-based label continues to link up with various rap stars from Southern India for numerous flagrant rap records including “Ayyayyo” and “Sambar”.
Ahead of the single, Irfana previewed the forthcoming record and dropped its exclusive artwork via Meta. Check it out below.
In March, Irfana became the first woman signee to Def Jam Recordings India.
For the record label, the “London Dry” single arrives after it linked up with Haryanvi rapstar MC Square and British record producers Alan Sampson & ADP on “Gurjari”.
