Griselda’s marquee emcee and songwriter Benny The Butcher, born Jeremie Damon Pennick, has released his second rap album this year.
Titled “Summertime Butch”, the 10-track album enlists Butcher’s entire Black Soprano Family, consisting of cult-conscious rhymers Rick Hyde, El Camino, Heem B$F, LoveBoat Luciano, Fuego Base, Jonesy, FlexxBaby and Young World.
The LP features Butcher’s gritty penmanship at the highest level – often seen when the Buffalo-born ‘2 Chain Bennymane’ gets on the mic with his BSF affiliates.
Mired by mafioso rap and provocative punchlines, “Summertime Butch” is home to flagrant songtitles including “The Warehouse 3”, “The Most” and “One Verse Butch”.

For Butcher, the LP serves as the follow-up to his massive Def Jam Recordings Debut “Everybody Can’t Go”.
Released in January, the LP featured guest verses by West Coast pioneer Snoop Dogg, Lil Wayne, Griselda affiliates Westside Gunn & BET “Lyricist of The Year” Nominee Conway The Machine, Armani Caesar, Kyle Banks, Steve God Cooks, Jadakiss, Babyface Ray and Rick Hyde.
Reportedly, Butcher is set to drop another third album this year too.
