Indian rap superstar Badshah, born Aditya Prateek Singh Sisodia, has finally announced the title of his album. The legendary emcee, record producer, songwriter and former Mafia Mundeer affiliate has revealed that his long-awaited album is titled “Badworld”.

While the hard-hitting emcee fell short of sharing any further details of his upcoming sophomore LP, the announcement has stirred unprecedented anticipation across Indian rap music and paves the way for a release date and perhaps, the tracklist this month.

Interestingly, Badshah’s announcement arrives amidst Punjabi rap superstar Karan Aujla announcing his studio album’s artwork later this month. The two emcees, who are recognised across the globe for their hard-hitting rap records, previously linked up on “Players” ahead of Badshah’s top-selling EP “3:00 A.M. Sessions”.

In fact, Badshah confirmed the “Badworld” album as early as November last year. At the time, the “Sanak” rapper and producer confirmed that a new EP “3:00 A.M. Sessions”, an album and a global tour is in the works for next year. Culture Haze was the first publication to break that story in November.

Badshah’s album is slated to arrive amidst several global rap superstars dropping their full-length projects. Until now, Punjabi rap superstars Shubh and Gurinder Gill have released their debut LPs “Still Rollin” and “Hard Choices” respectively. Further, Emiway Bantai released his third LP “King of The Streets” earlier this month too.

Badshah’s album announcement furthers Indian Hip-Hop and provides a massive push to the sub-genre across the globe.

For many, the hard-hitting emcee has led Indian rap music since its earliest days and continues to influence Indian rap music through his flagrant experimentation and unapologetic rap flow.

In strict LP terms, “Badworld” will serve as the follow-up to his 2020 full-length record “The Power of Dreams of A Kid”.

Released almost three years ago, Badshah has continued to drop star-studded singles since then including “Voodoo” featuring Latin rap superstar J Balvin. Badshah further recruited Atlanta’s rap pioneer Lil Baby on the remix too.

Look out for Badshah’s third LP ‘Badworld’ this year.
