Indian Hip-Hop’s influential emcee and songwriter Nazz has signed an exclusive record deal with Mass Appeal India. The hard-hitting rapper, real name Nihar Hodawadekar, rose to prominence for his brief yet affecting rap discography and provocative choppa rap flow in Hindi and Marathi vernacular.
Notably, Nazz’s record deal with Mass Appeal India has far-reaching consequences for the young emcee’s sprawling rap career. The highly coveted Indian rap label has worked with marquee Hip-Hop acts including Hip-Hop royalty Divine, the Gully Gang crew, The MVMNT & Sez On The Beat and more.
Earlier this month, the record label released a star-studded full-length LP with Yungsta and is gearing up for KSHMR’s debut Indian Hip-Hop album “Karam”. Within just two years, the record label has pushed Indian rap further alongside Hip-Hop powerhouses Def Jam Recordings India, Azadi Records and more.
However, Mass Appeal India is home to some of the biggest Indian rap records in recent times.
For Nazz, an exclusive record deal with Mass Appeal India serves as an avenue for far-reaching collaborative efforts with Indian Hip-Hop’s influential tall figures.
Recognised for his flagrant bars and gruff vocal delivery, Nazz has swiftly risen to prominence and as per many, represents the true voice of Mumbai’s streets as it transitions from Divine, Emiway Bantai and more to younger emcees including MC Stan, Bombay Lokal‘s Gravity and Farhan Khan and Nazz himself.
His vivid discography spans over 30 hard-hitting rap records including “Underrated”, “Orphan”, “Chehre Pe Hasi”, “Yin Yang”, “One A.M.”, “Nazariya”, “Sapna” and the recently released Outfly-produced rap record “Majbooriyan”. Besides the incendiary rap records, Nazz is behind numerous affecting visual treatments portraying the Mumbai rap scene with unprecedented authenticity.
Look out for Nazz’s debut with Mass Appeal India this summer.
