Amidst high anticipation for his forthcoming project “The Brownprint” with Republic Records, Punjabi emcee AP Dhillon has announced two massive collaborations. The Toronto-bred “Real Talk” rapper, who is gearing up for his first project in nearly two years, has enlisted Atlanta’s rap superstar Gunna and breakthrough R&B singer Ayra Starr for the EP.
Reportedly, Wunna and Starr are set to feature on Dhillon’s forthcoming EP on “Losing Myself” and “Bora Bora” respectively. Earlier this summer, the rapper joined forces with British Grime MVP Stormzy on “Problems Over Peace” single too.
While Dhillon’s forthcoming collaboration with Starr has shocked many, his debut record with Gunna can be traced back to the artists ties with “Survivor’s Remorse” filmmaker Spike Jordan.
Since last summer, Dhillon & Gunna have linked up with Jordan for a slew of top-tier visual cuts including “Sleepless”, “Bachelor”, “rodeo dr”, “WhatsApp (Wassam)” and “Bittersweet”.
For Gunna, the forthcoming collaboration arrives amidst releasing two top-tier albums – “One of Wun” and “a gift & a curse”.
Most recently, the Young Stoner Life Records affiliate premiered “Back In The A” music video from his 5th LP. Watch it below if you haven’t yet.
As reported earlier, Dhillon was originally slated to drop “The Brownprint” LP per Billboard. Dhillon is yet to comment on the abrupt decision to scrap his debut studio album. Earlier this month, the Toronto-bred emcee released the theatrical lead single “Old Money”.
