Amidst the lethal rap feud between Toronto’s rap mogul Drake and Pulitzer-winning rapper Kendrick Lamar, Young Money Records founder and 6 God’s mentor Lil Wayne has finally spoken up about it and has garnered mixed reactions from rap fans across the globe.

During his top-tier live at the Zouk Nightclub, one of the marquee venues of his Las Vegas residency, Wayne concocted his over a decade old collaboration with Drake and record producers T-Minus and Noah “40” Shebib “The Motto” with Lamar’s “Not Like Us” and performed the flagrant track with OVO chains on.

As Wayne attempted to allegedly diss Kendrick Lamar and show firm support for his protégé Drake, the “Rap Icon 2023” awardee has left Hip-Hop more divided than ever.

Notably, Wayne is perhaps the first Hip-Hop tall-figure to express his support for Drake. Ever since Lamar & DJ Mustard‘s trailblazing collaboration “Not Like Us”, the “For All The Dogs” rapper has struggled to get his street cred back up.

Wayne’s controversial take at the West Coast rap classic arrives amidst his “Drop The World” collaborator Eminem showing vocal support for Kendrick. On his 12th studio album “The Death of Slim Shady (COUP DE GRÂCE), Em refuted baseless criticism of K. Dot’s music and called out the “haters”.

Eminem supported Wayne on the album too. However, the rap provocateurs are strongly divided on the massive feud between Drake and Lamar. Wayne’s another protégé and American rap superstar Nicki Minaj is yet to speak on the rap beef.

Recently, Weezy released “Tha Fix Before Tha VI” mixtape amidst high anticipation for his forthcoming LP “Tha Carter VI”.
