Future & Metro Boomin Confirm Debut Joint Album

Back in January, Metro Boomin crashed Future’s sold-out live set in ATL to debut their platinum single ‘Superhero’ from the ‘Heroes & Villains’ LP. Amidst their performance, ‘Future Pendergrass’ teased a new ‘album of the year’ with Hip-Hop’s influential record producer.

Now, during a sitdown with Flaunt magazine, Boomin has confirmed that a debut joint LP is in the works and will release this year. While speaking about his performance at Future’s ‘One Big Party’ tour in Atlanta alongside Lil Baby, Boomin said that he would “definitely bet” on a joint LP from the two artists.

“Oh, that was fire,” Boomin said about his live set with the ‘I Never Liked You’ emcee. “You know, Pluto, that’s my brother. We’ve been at it for a long time. This whole superhero moment, it’s like the beginning of our phase two. We haven’t had a song out since ‘Mask Off,’ they’ve been on our heads. With this, and then the whole State Farm thing, it’s starting to slowly put people on notice: we crankins that shit back up too,” Boomin continued.

Upon its release, the LP will serve as the follow-up to Future & Metro Boomin’s 2014 collaborative mixtape. Titled ‘Monster’, the mixtape was released on October 26th 2014 and featured just one guest verse from Lil Wayne.

Look out for Metro Boomin & Future’s debut LP this year.
