Metro Boomin’s ‘Superhero’ F/ Future & Chris Brown Goes Platinum

Atlanta’s legendary record producer Metro Boomin’s top-selling rap record ‘Superhero’ has been certified platinum by the RIAA. Featuring R&B superstar Chris Brown and the ‘712PM’ emcee Future, ‘Superheroes’ is the second track on Boomin’s recent ‘Heroes & Villains’ LP.

Released in December last year, ‘Heroes & Villains’ is Boomin’s sophomore LP which has risen to become one of the most influential rap records of all time. Besides Future and ‘Breezy’, the fifteen-track record features guest appearances by John Legend, Travis Scott, Don Toliver, 21 Savage, Young Nudy, The Weeknd, A$ap Rocky, Takeoff & Gunna.

‘Superhero’ featured in an epic ‘Heroes & Villains’ short film just ahead of the album. Watch here if you haven’t yet.

Metro Boomin is one of the hottest rap producers globally. The ATL producer is behind some of the leading ‘Atlanta Strip Club’ sounds with Future. However, his discography has expanded to new levels in the last few years and includes massive rap records including ‘Mask Off’ w/ Future, ‘Bad n Boujee’ w/ Migos, ‘Congratulations’ w/ Post Malone and more.

Ever since the release of ‘Heroes & Villains’ LP, Boomin has established himself as one of the biggest Hip-Hop artists with unbelievably successful projects including ‘Without Warning’ w/ 21 Savage and Offset, ‘Savage Mode II’ w/ 21 Savage, ‘Perfect Timing’ w/ NAV, ‘Savage Mode’ w/ 21 Savage, ‘Double or Nothin’ w/ Big Sean and more.

Earlier this year, Future & Boomin teased a collaborative effort together in Atlanta. After Boomin crashed Future’s live set in ATL to perform ‘Superheroes’ in January, ‘Future Pendergrass’ teased a new ‘album of the year‘ with Boomin after his performance alongside Hip-Hop superstar Lil Baby.

On October 13th 2014, Future & Metro Boomin linked up to release the former’s thirteenth mixtape. Titled ‘Monster’, the LP includes some of Future’s top-selling rap records including ‘F*** Up Some Commas’, ‘After That’ feat. Lil Wayne and ‘2 Pac’ and was executive produced by Boomin who was then associated with Future’s very own Freebandz Entertainment Group. Fans speculate that a follow-up to the Monster mixtape just might be around the corner.
