Killer Mike Previews ‘Scientists & Engineers’ With Future & André 3000, Drops New Single With EL-P Ahead of New Album

Atlanta’s legendary emcee and record producer Killer Mike, born Michael Santiago Render, has previewed a new rap record “Scientists & Engineers”. Arriving just ahead of his highly anticipated sixth LP ‘Michael’, Mike previewed the track, which features guest verses by Future and André 3000, during the album’s second pre-release listening event.

Notably, Future and André 3000 previously linked up on “Benz Friends” back in 2014. The ATL-rap pioneers were associated with the Hip-Hop supergroup “Dungeon Family” alongside Organized Noize members, Rico Wade (who also happens to be Future’s cousin), Sleepy Brown and Ray Murray; OutKast and Goodie Mob at the time.

In fact, Future went by the stage name ‘Meathead’ during his early stint with Dungeon Family. The ‘Dirty South’ collective later expanded to include artists like Witchdoctor, Cool Breeze, Big Rube, Mr DJ, Backbone, Parental Advisory, Konkrete, Lil Will, and Society of Soul.

Notably, the record preview arrives amidst the legendary ‘Run The Jewels’ emcee gearing up for his long-awaited solo effort. Reportedly, the LP, titled ‘Michael’, is slated to feature guest verses by André 3000, Lil Wayne and the Free Bandz CEO. Further, Dave Chappelle will make an appearance on the record too.

Earlier today, Killer Mike linked up with the Run The Jewels cohort El-P for a hard-hitting single. Titled “Don’t Let The Devil”, the record is slated to feature on Mike’s first full-length album in ten years and has No I.D. and El-P on production.

Killer Mike has released at least two lead singles in the lead-up to his sixth LP. Speculated to feature on the highly anticipated LP, Mike teamed up with Dave Chapelle and Atlanta’s far-reaching emcee Young Thug on “RUN” and “THAT SHIT” with DJ Paul.

Look out for ‘Michael’ by Killer Mike this year.
