King Releases Huge New Single ‘Crown’, Gears Up for Fourth Album ‘New Life’ With Nine Records

Indian Hip-Hop and Pop superstar King, real name Arpan Kumar Chandel, has begun the highly anticipated rollout of his fourth album ‘New Life’. Earlier today, the legendary emcee and singer premiered a huge new single ‘Crown’ from his forthcoming album.

Produced by Toronto-based composer and record producer David Arkwright, the hard-hitting alternative rap record captures King’s unprecedented influence over Indian music and serves as “the foreword to his upcoming project”.

Further, it features guest vocals by pop singer and songwriter Natania.

Notably, the single is released alongside an evocative visual treatment. The music video, directed by critically acclaimed Indian rap filmmaker Bijoy Shetty, captures King’s unruly attitude and reveals the “New Life” album tracklist.

Reportedly, King’s forthcoming album “New Life” will have nine rap and pop records – “Aafat”, “Runaway”, “Tu Jaana Na Piya”, “Good Trip”, “Sarkaare”, “Legends”, “We Are The Ones”, “High Hukku” and “Crown”.

The lead single arrives within days after King first announced it on social media. As per the emcee, he has now confirmed that the “New Life” album is slated to release in September.

As reported earlier, King surprisingly released the three-track EP “Shayad Woh Sune”. Traversing three pop records – “Laapta”, “Humse” and “Teri Ho Na Saki”, the EP paved the way for King’s forthcoming album.

Upon its release, “New Life” will serve as the follow-up to King’s massive studio album “Champagne Talk”.

Notably, the album amassed over 100 million Spotify streams within just two months of its official release and surpassed a billion streams in March this year. Last year, the ‘Pablo’ of Indian Hip-Hop was streamed over 300 million times on Spotify alone.

King’s announcement about his forthcoming full-length record’s lead single arrives amidst the abrupt “postponement” of the “Champagne Talk World Tour” due to “visa delays for the performing crew”.

Slated to begin in London on September 1, King enlisted Birmingham, New York, Silver Spring, Toronto, Houston, Chicago, Atlanta, Vancouver and Edmonton, San Francisco, Los Angeles and more cities for the massive global tour.

Look out for the ‘New Life’ album by King in September.
