Kolkata, West Bengal-born emcee and songwriter J Trix, real name Jaitay Bhardwaj, has announced his debut EP with Def Jam Recordings India. Titled “Middle Class Boys”, the EP is slated to drop “next” and will be executive produced by J Trix’s longtime collaborator and record producer Subspace.
J Trix’s upcoming EP will serve as the follow-up to his hard-hitting rap record “Legacy” released earlier this month. The flagrant track, produced by Subspace too, has Trix dissing autotune and embracing gruff “freestyle” rap music.
Trix and Def Jam Recordings India have fallen short of revealing any further details about the upcoming project for now. However, Trix announced the EP with a heartfelt note to his “listener base”.
“It’s been a crazy ride throughout this journey of making music and meeting so many amazing people along the way. I genuinely feel like I am blessed to have such a diverse and mature listener base,” Trix said.
Trix released the official artwork and confirmed that the EP will be preceded by a lead single. Check out the exclusive “Middle Class Boys” EP artwork here.
Through his impactful discography which includes over 40 singles and an EP, J Trix has risen to far-reaching prominence in the Indian rap scene. Earlier this year, J Trix released Subspace-produced rap records “Blow Up” and “One & Only”.
