Breaking: Nas Releases 17th Rap Album ‘Magic 2’ F/ 50 Cent And 21 Savage, Prod. By Hit-Boy

Brooklyn, New York’s legendary emcee Nas, real name Nasir Jones, has just released his 17th Hip-Hop album. Titled “Magic 2”, the LP features a guest verse by former G-Unit affiliate 50 Cent and is executive-produced by Nas’ frequent collaborator Hit-Boy.

Notably, the 11-track album features Nas’ notorious collaborative effort with 21 Savage “One Mic, One Gun”. The hard-hitting record, which was first released in November last year, arrived within days after 21 Savage questioned Nas’ relevance in Hip-Hop at the time.

“I don’t feel like he’s relevant. I don’t feel like Nas is relevant,” 21 said. He further said that the veteran hip-hop superstar from Queensbridge has a “loyal” fanbase. “Nah, he just has a loyal fanbase and he still makes good-ass music.” 21 further said.

However, it turned out to be a publicity stunt as the two emcees, separated by over two decades in rap history, linked up on the Hit-Boy-produced single.

Besides “One Mic, One Gun”, the “Magic 2” LP features Nas and 50 Cent’s first rap song together in over 20 years. The “Don” and 50 can be heard trading verses on the “Office Hours” record on the album.

As reported earlier, Nas’ 17th LP “Magic 2” serves as the follow-up to Hit-Boy Produced “King’s Disease III”. Released in November last year, the LP consists of cult rap classics including “30”, “Michael & Quincy” and more.

“Magic 2” arrives just ahead of Hip-Hop 50. With a highly influential rap career which spans numerous rap records across 30 years, Nas is leading the worldwide celebration of rap music through his coveted record label and rap outlet Mass Appeal.

In June, Mass Appeal, which is reportedly spearheading the 50 years of Hip-Hop music across the globe, teamed up with Live Nation for a massive Hip-Hop 50 concert line-up.
