Punjabi Hip-Hop superstar and gangsta rap pioneer Gurinder Gill, often referred to as ‘GG’, has turned 27. The flagrant Punjabi emcee, born on 14 September 1996, continues to leave an unprecedented impact on rap music across the globe and has risen to global prominence for his lethal rap verses on “Brown Munde”, “Don’t Test” and “GOAT”.

The rapper, who is a close affiliate of another marquee Punjabi artist AP Dhillon, tends to stay away from vanity and instead drops rare visual treatments of his incendiary rap life.

Earlier this year, GG released his ruthless debut album “Hard Choices” with no features. The incendiary rap record traverses 7 hard-hitting Punjabi Hip-Hop tracks – “Wake Up”, “Network”, “Breathe”, “4 Bakyian”, “Forever”, the aptly titled “Lonestar” and “Moments”.

Amidst high anticipation, GG announced the album with internet-breaking suave too. The emcee stirred conversations around the globe with just a single photograph of the album’s artwork and chose to drop the album without much noise.

Upon its release, Punjabi rap fans across the globe stormed GG’s social media and observed the Punjabi rap pioneer’s massive return to unapologetically raw and brash Hip-Hop music.

Most recently, GG linked up with AP Dhillon, Nas, Shinda Kahlon, Gminxr and more on Dhillon’s breakthrough documentary series “AP Dhillon: First of A Kind”.

Earlier today, Gurinder Gill premiered his 8th Punjabi rap record this year. Titled “Times Up”, the record arrived in a similar fashion to his “Hard Choices” album and is another surprise drop by the towering Punjabi artist.
