Nigerian British Hip-Hop and drill emcee Tion Wayne, born Dennis Junior Odunwo, is gearing up for his next single. Through the highly anticipated track, which is yet to be announced, Wayne will reportedly remember the late Punjabi Hip-Hop pioneer Sidhu Moose Wala and his longtime relationship with the slain rapper.
Notably, Wayne will be releasing an exclusive music video shot at Moosa’s residence in Mansa district, Punjab. This is one of the numerous ways through which Hip-Hop superstars across the globe continue to remember Moose Wala. The rap tall-figure was killed on May 29th last year.
Ahead of filming the music video, various videos have surfaced on Twitter which capture Wayne meeting Moose Wala’s parents and remembering the latter’s legacy. The record arrives amidst the far-reaching commercial success of Moosa’s third posthumous single “Mera Na” featuring a guest verse by Burna Boy. Produced by Steel Banglez, the track is further slated to feature on his debut LP “The Playlist”.
“Do the money dance
Chef it out then we shop in France
Man, we’re good way before advance
Spray the car, gotta take the chance
See me, I roll up bait to the function
Paid violation, lungs getting punctured
Fools on the net love talk but they’re bluffing
Me, I don’t talk, it’s straight to the county,” Wayne rapped over The Kidd-produced record at the time.
Notably, the record was released alongside hard-hitting visuals by Raf-Saperra. Check it out here.
