Rising Punjabi emcee and singer Khush Romana has paid an affecting tribute to slain rapper Sidhu Moose Wala on a huge drill single.
Titled “Schema”, the flagrant track is produced by underground record producer Appxe and arrives amidst numerous Indian rap superstars and underground rappers paying homage to Moosa through music.
Released alongside a flagrant visual cut, the single features Moose Wala’s rare speech from a concert in Melbourne, Australia. In the brief clip, Moosa can be heard paying homage to his village.
“For any artist, his city, his village is very important to him. I won’t be able to pay back to Toronto all my life. The encouragement from there made me stand on this stage… and my brother Khushpreet Romana… come on stage brother. (Romana) is the talent of your own city. My big brother, please clap for him,” Moose Wala says in the clip.
His track (Russian Tank) just came out… It was written by me. Now, he is coming back with his hard work… with his own music. Please give him a huge round of applause and support him,” Moosa says further.
Last week, Indian Hip-Hop superstar Badshah paid his historic tribute to Sidhu Moose Wala amidst his massive performance at Wembley Arena, in London.
Punjabi rap superstar Karan Aujla remembered Moosa at The Kris Fade Show. The “Making Memories” singer further expressed concerns over a certain faction of South Asia Hip-Hop seeking to “divide” him and Moosa.
During the brief conversation, Aujla asserted that people tend to misconstrue and even “tear apart” him and Moosa for “entertainment”. However, the Punjabi emcee said that “it’s not many of us who are doing this” at the highest level and “we are all in this together”.
As reported earlier, pop superstar and another legendary emcee Post Malone, “For All The Dogs” rapper Drake, U.K.’s iconic R&B singer and emcee Stefflon Don, Grammy-nominated rapper Raja Kumari, Burna Boy, Tion Wayne, MIST, Raftaar and Mumbai’s legendary “Chorni” emcee Divine have remembered Moosa in the past too.
