Punjabi Hip-Hop and Pop’s hard-hitting emcee on the rise Riar Saab, Tarun Singh Surjeet Singh Riyar, has returned with a new single. Titled “Venice”, the flagrant rap record is produced by Mumbai-based record producer Zero Chill and features guest vocals by Indian pop singer Mitika Kanwar.
Notably, “Venice” arrives amidst the unprecedented success of Riar Saab’s leading rap single “Obsessed”. Released in September last year, the track continues to leave a massive impact on Saab’s career and has established his stature as one of the finest Punjabi emcees across India.
Reportedly, “Obsessed”, which featured a guest appearance by Abhijay Sharma, surpassed 100 million streams across digital platforms. Ever since its release, the track has become a sprawling moniker for celebration by Indian cinema’s finest actors.
Riar Saab, who is slated to join Indian Hip-Hop royalty Divine on the “Baazigar” global tour later this year, is yet to reveal the “Venice” visual treatment.
Released through Mass Appeal India, Saab’s latest single joins a slew of massive Punjabi releases by the coveted label this year.
Most recently, the Mumbai-based record label linked up with Punjabi rap superstar AP Dhillon on “Sleepless”. The hard-hitting record, penned down by Shinda Kahlon, arrived after two minimalist previews at the time with one capturing the “GOAT” recording the flagrant single and the other involving a visual preview of “Sleepless”.
Dhillon‘s single was preceded by his massive return to Punjabi music with “True Stories” featuring Shinda Kahlon.
In May, Mass Appeal signed an exclusive record agreement with Mumbai’s rap star Nazz and dropped “Gully Ka Sher”. Earlier this month, KSHMR released the sophomore single from his debut Indian Hip-Hop album “Karam” through the label too.
Titled “Bhussi”, the track features a fiery guest verse by Seedhe Maut and receives guest production by Indian rap superproducer Karan Kanchan.
