Amidst high anticipation for their forthcoming studio album “Kavi Kehna Chahte Hai”, Delhi’s fierce emcees Encore ABJ & Calm, who together helm top-tier Hip-Hop act Seedhe Maut, have parted ways with India’s coveted record label Azadi Records.

Besides parting with Azadi Records, Seedhe Maut has further launched their independent label “DL91 records”. As per the influential act, an independent tour is in the works too.

The shocking announcement, which arrives within months after Prabh Deep and Koshur Nizam‘s frontman Ahmer parted ways with Azadi, has garnered widespread support from various breakthrough rappers including Raga and Yashraj.

During their prolonged association with Azadi Records, which witnessed the release of Seedhe Maut’s entire discography yet including their breakout debut “Bayaan”, “Na”, “Nayaab” and “Lunch Break” mixtape, Seedhe Maut rose to unprecedented prominence in Indian rap music.

Notably, Seedhe Maut’s exit from Azadi Records is still in transition as the record label’s website still displays the “Rajdhani” rappers as part of their roster.

Seedhe Maut is yet to reveal further details about their forthcoming tour and whether “Kavi Kehna Chahte Hai” will be released independently.

Recently, Seedhe Maut linked up with Indian rap superstar Kr$na on “Hola Amigo”. Watch the flagrant visual cut below if you haven’t yet.
