Breaking: Diljit Dosanjh Confirms New Music With Hip-Hop Superstar Saweetie Ahead of 17th Album ‘Ghost’

Indian Hip-Hop/Rap, R&B and Pop superstar Diljit Dosanjh has just confirmed his fourth major collaborative effort ahead of his 17th studio album “Ghost”.

Earlier today, the iconic Punjabi emcee, who most recently announced the Australia and New Zealand leg of the “Born To Shine World Tour”, was seen in the studio with American woman emcee and songwriter Saweetie.

The announcement, which has swerved across social media for the fourth time, arrives amidst back-to-back confirmations by Dosanjh about numerous major records on his long-awaited LP.

The “Ghost” LP, which will reportedly have 18 Punjabi tracks in total, will feature unprecedented guest appearances by Pop superstar SiaLatin pop superstar Camilo Echeverry and The Bronx’s A Boogie With Da Hoodie and Hip-Hop superproducer London On Da Track.

American rapper and songwriter Saweetie, real name Diamonté Quiava Valentin Harper, is one of the most influential woman rap artists in global Hip-Hop.

The rapper, who shot to global prominence with her breakthrough rap LP “High Maintenance”, is behind cult modern rap records including “Best Friend” featuring Doja Cat, “Bitch from Da Souf” alongside Latto and Trina, “Up Now” featuring G-Eazy and Rich The Kid and released a flagrant guest verse on Big K.R.I.T. and Lil Wayne‘s iconic rap record “Addiction” during her come-up.

Most recently, Saweetie linked up with Compton‘s gangsta rap pioneer YG and Tyga on “Birthday”. Listen to the track below if you haven’t yet.

While Dosanjh is yet to confirm whether Saweetie is slated to feature on “Ghost” LP, speculation that ‘Icy GRL’ will feature on his album doesn’t seem far-fetched. After announcing a slew of major collaborative efforts, Dosanjh looks set to release the biggest Punjabi record in Indian music this year.

As reported earlier, Dosanjh isn’t unfamiliar with global collaborations. Last year, the “Caviar” singer and emcee linked up with Canada‘s towering emcee Tory Lanez on Ikky-produced flagrant rap record “Chauffeur”.

In April, Diljit Dosanjh shut down Coachella and performed some of his biggest bodies of work amidst a star-studded line-up of artists including Kenny Beats, FloMilliThe Kid Laroi, $uicideboy$ and more.
