Drake, oftentimes referred to as Champagne Papi, has returned with the third instalment of his “Scary Hours” EP series. The legendary emcee & rap mogul, who recently matched Michael Jackson’s historic Billboard record for most #1 songs by a male artist, has now released “For All The Dogs: Scary Hours Edition” with 6 new songs.
Executive-produced by Kevin Durant, who further executive-produced Champagne’s 8th studio album “For All The Dogs” on October 6 this year, “Scary Hours 3” or the “For All The Dogs: Scary Hours Edition” features six provocative song titles – “Red Button”, “Stories About My Brother”, “The Shoe Fits”, “Wick Man”, “Evil Ways” featuring J. Cole & “You Broke My Heart”.
Ahead of the project’s release, Drake shared the exclusive “Scary Hours 3” tracklist via Meta. Notably, the EP extends FATD and doesn’t features a guest verse from J. Cole. Check it out below.
The extended play still doesn’t feature two unreleased Drake records – “At The Gates” featuring Lil Uzi Vert and “Yves Slatt Laurent“ featuring Atlanta’s iconic emcee Young Thug and Don Toliver.
Ahead of the extended cut, Drake announced a brief hiatus from rap music and it left fans guessing about an alleged retirement. However, The Boy has now retracted from his own statement and retirement rumours.
“I feel the no need to appease anybody. I feel so confident about the body of work that I just dropped that I know I could go and disappear for whatever… six months, a year, two years… even though I’m not into like… really like superlengthy disappearances for the sake of mystery but… you know, ultimately, it’s coming to me in a way that maybe I haven’t experienced like since you’re reading this… it’s just kinda like I feel like I’m in that mental state without doing anything. I did those songs in the last five days,” Drake said amidst a monologue in the “Scary Hours” trailer.
