The iconic consortium of emcees, record producers and songwriters Dreamville has released the long-awaited ‘Creed III’ original motion picture soundtrack. First announced in November last year, the latest OST LP features eighteen hard-hitting rap records executive produced by the Brooklyn-based collective.
The Original Soundtrack begins with ‘Culture’ by Mez, Symba and Top Dawg Entertainment’s young emcee REASON. Besides the ‘Sauce’ rapper, Dreamville has linked up with Big Sean and EST Gee as well.
Dreamville’s very own J. Cole makes a solo appearance on the ‘Adonis Interlude (The Montage)’. Clocking at just short of two minutes, the track samples Dr. Dre’s legendary rap record ‘The Watcher’ from his top-selling LP ‘2001’ – often referred to as ‘The Chronic 2001’ or ‘The Chronic II’. Further, Dreamville’s leading artists Ari Lennox. Bas, EARTHGANG, OG DAVY, JID and more find crucial spots across the soundtrack.

Notably, this isn’t the first time that J. Cole has dropped a guest verse on the ‘Creed’ franchise. Cole linked up with Ari Lennox on ‘Shea Butter Baby’ for Steven Caple Jr.-directed ‘Creed II’. However, this is a debut effort by J. Cole & the Dreamville collective for a motion picture.
The Creed franchise’s motion picture soundtrack is recognised for its stunning Hip-Hop sounds. Creed’s debut soundtrack featured top-selling rap records by West Coast Hip-Hop pioneer Tupac Shakur, ATL’s very own Future, Philadelphia’s Meek Mill, Tory Lanez, The Roots, Nas, Donald Glover, Vince Staples, and more.
Executive produced by Mike Will Made It, the ‘Creed II’ LP took it even further with guest verses by Nas, Lil Wayne, Crime Mob, Schoolboy Q, 2 Chainz, Rick Ross, Pharrell Williams, A$ap Mob’s Rocky and Ferg and more. Mike Will built ‘Creed II’ LP from scratch exclusively for the Ryan Coogler-directed film.
The soundtrack arrives amidst Dreamville gearing up their annual Rap festival in Raleigh, North Carolina. For this year’s edition slated for April 1st & 2nd, the festival has announced a stunning line-up of headliners and performers. While the festival serves as an annual reunion for Dreamville Records as Cole taps the entire roster to perform at the fest including Ari Lennox, Bas, J.I.D, EarthGang, Cozz, and Omen, plus Lute who hails from nearby Charlotte, this year will have the OVO bossman and ‘Her Loss’ emcee Drake headlining the two-day festival.
