Influential Hip-Hop producer and emcee Hit-Boy, born Chauncey Alexander Hollis Jr., has seemingly dissed numerous top-selling record producers in an upcoming single. In a video shared earlier this week by Rory Farrell, the ‘Gunehgar’ producer is seen dissing multi-platinum record producers including Metro Boomin, DJ Mustard, Southside and Hitmaka a.k.a Yung Berg.
“I’m usually homeboys with producers I get compared to, but on this one I want to say I’m stretched out, extra leg room/ I don’t really know dude, he seem like a cool cat/ But I never once heard Metro Boomin do boom bap/ I never heard a Southside beat without an 808 in it/ HB in drunk-driver mode, I swerve in every lane with it/ “I f*** with Mustard, he can make that ratchet s*** with his eyes closed/ But now I’m starting to wonder can that n**** chop soul?” Hit-Boy raps.
Hit-Boy further went on to diss Hitmaka for the latter’s comments on Ebro Darden about Hit-Boy’s longevity and his impact on Hip-Hop in the last four years. “See, but I’m on the radio; Hit-Boy’s not on the radio,” Hitmaka said during his sitdown with Darden on Hot 97.
“I just seen Yung Berg spoke on the wave, I should do him like Trick Trick and snatch Hit out his name/ I had decoded the game, I had the coldest of days/ I’m like Bieber on his cruise, how you got no credits without co-producers?” Hit-Boy rapped while taking aim at Hit-Maka. Check out the clip below.
While Boomin, Mustard or Southside are yet to comment on the diss, Hit-Boy is having a great time this year music-wise. Last year, the legendary Hip-Hop producer teamed up with Nas and executive produced his sixteenth LP ‘King’s Disease III’.
Hit-Boy further teamed up with Offset on ‘2 Live’ and led the production on Don Toliver’s ‘Love Sick’, Divine’s third LP ‘Gunehgar’ and the ‘Creed III’ soundtrack curated by J.Cole’s Dreamville.
