Mumbai’s iconic emcee and songwriter Loka has premiered the lead single from his forthcoming rap album “Loka Kaha Hai (Side B)”. Titled “Letter To Myself”, the track is produced by Don Beats and captures Loka’s troublesome times while serving prison time at Arthur Road.
Across the single, Loka addresses family ties and highlights the emcee’s struggles with incarceration and its impact on his personal life. Notably, this is the first rap record since the “Arthur Road” single through which the Mumbai-bred emcee provides an affecting documentation of the troubled times.
Ahead of its release, Loka shared the exclusive “Letter To Myself” artwork with his fans.
“The first single of Side B is titled “Letter To Myself”. Through the single, I write a letter to myself to inspire me and I hope you love it. It’s further addressed to my family, friends and people who reached out to me when I served at Arthur Road prison,” Loka says alongside the artwork.

With the release of the “Letter To Myself” single, Loka now gears up for ‘Side B’ of his debut rap LP “Loka Kahan Hai”.
Notably, the breakout rapper shared the Side A of the sprawling debut album in December last year. Traversing six flagrant rap records – “Aaropi”, “Chamdi Chaaley” and “G’s”, “Burey Din”, “Arthur Road” and “Mulaqat” – Loka gives Indian rap superstars MC Stan, Indian rap mogul Divine, Emiway Bantai and legendary slain rapper Sidhu Moose Wala their flowers.
Further, the formerly incarcerated rapper stirred far-reaching conversations about an alleged beef by allegedly dissing Kalamkaar’s rap royalties Kr$na, rap mogul Raftaar and former label affiliate Karma on the track.
