Indian Hip-Hop’s young emcee and record producer Paradox, born Tanishq Singh, is gearing up for a new rap record. Titled “Hasti Rahe Tu”, the single will be the sophomore release from his long-awaited EP “The Unknown Letter” and is slated to release on April 18th 2023. Notably, the record will serve as the follow-up to “Perfy” released in March this year.
“The Unknown Letter” is a three-track project which marks Paradox’s debut with Def Jam Recordings India. Just ahead of releasing ‘Perfy’, the emcee had confirmed that the lead single will be followed by two fresh records – “Hasti Reh Tu” and “Sirhana” on April 18th & May 11th respectively.
Paradox shared the exclusive artwork of the record across social media. Quite similar in design to the ‘Perfy’ artwork, the rapper hints at an extension of his ‘The Unknown Letter’ narrative. The ‘Overthink’ emcee revealed his intent to construct a story around the EP which gradually builds on across the three records. You can check it out here.
Whether “Hasti Rahe Tu” will be Paradox’s abrupt departure from hard-hitting rap records with drill, grime and trap influences remains to be seen. However, it won’t be a surprise if the young Najafgarh-bred emcee furthers his diverse perspective on music, and builds upon the 90s slick discotheque and subtle elements of Pop drawn from ‘Perfy’.
